Thanksgiving is a great time to lend a hand to an organization or cause
you believe in. For Tom Copeland, working with the Big Heart Brigade was it.
Tom enlisted his parents, Tom (senior) and Sandi, to volunteer with him
for a few hours on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2013 at a Fire Station #3
in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, the site of the Big Hearts Brigade temporary
meal preparation location.
For more than 10 years, the Big Heart Brigade has been purchasing Thanksgiving
Day food with private dollars, and using volunteers to prepare the meals
to give to the poor and needy in Palm Beach County.
In recent years, the organization has grown tremendously – with more
than 6,000 volunteers giving their time over 9 days to produce over 100,000
meals to give away to three counties!
The Big Heart Brigade is a 501 C3 Florida non-profit organization. To learn
more about the organization and the “Thanksgiving Feast”,
