Florida Drowning Accident Kills Chicago Student Athlete

Jasmine Crenshaw, a college athlete from Ohio's Central State University, died in  Clermont, Florida this past weekend while swimming in a lake.  Her mother said she was an inexperienced swimmer at 22, having just learned to swim within the last year.

According to West Palm Beach personal injury attorney Craig Goldenfarb, although Florida laws require private pools to have a barrier or a notification system, different rules apply to other bodies of water.  Goldenfarb has handled many drowning cases in Florida, and he is a well-known supporter of the Palm Beach County Drowning Coalition, having made significant contributions to provide swimming lessons for young children.
