The accident occurred at about 10:40 p.m. Sunday, January 23 on Interstate 95 south of Linton Boulevard in Delray Beach.

Twenty-year-old Nickolas John Beaudet of Lauderhill was driving a Honda Accord north on I-95.  He was travelling at a high rate of speed when he swerved to the right to avoid another vehicle.  As he swerved, he clipped the car in front of him and hot veered off the road. He hit a metal pole on the shoulder of the road.  Beaudet was thrown from his car.
Beaudet was taken to Delray Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The other driver, 21-year-old Jackson Paraiso, of Boca Raton, was not injured.
