Lake Worth Man Charged In Palm Beach County Drunk Driving Death

A Lake Worth man has been charged with DUI manslaughter for a December crash that killed an 80-year-old woman.
 
The Lake Worth drunk driving accident occurred on around 9 p.m. on December 3, 2010 at the intersection of Lantana Road and Lake Osborne Drive.
 
Fifty-five-year-old Joseph M. Sterlicchi was a Ford F-150 driving east on Lantana Road.  He made a left turn onto Lake Osborne Drive and crashed into a Ford Fusion that was travelling west on Lantana Road. Both vehicles spun from the impact. Dolores Whiteside was a passenger in the Ford Fusion.  On December 5, she died of injuries sustained during the crash. Two others sustained minor injuries.
 
Sterlicchi's blood-alcohol level at the time of the crash was .248, three times the legal limit.
 
On August 12, Sterlicchi was charged with one count of DUI manslaughter, two counts of DUI causing personal injury, and one count of DUI causing property damage.
