While the cause of the deaths is unknown, police and medical responders
believe drug overdoses to be the cause. This comes in spite of increased
presence of anti-drug law enforcement at this year’s event, which
included the deployment of drug-sniffing dogs.
The event also led to over 30 arrests and 16 marijuana citations, which

site of this year’s festival), issued a statement saying they will
work with the event’s promoter, Disco Donnie Presents, to obtain
more information about the incidents and submit their findings for review.

made it abundantly clear that if it is allowed to return to the Tampa
area, Disco Donnie Presents will be responsible for ensuring these incidents
do not happen again.
