Jorge L. Maxion joined the Law Offices of Craig Goldenfarb, P.A. in 2014 as a Civil Trial Attorney, focusing 100% of his time on litigating on the behalf of our personal injury clients. Mr. Maxion's practice areas include motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and general liability litigation.

Mr. Maxion comes to our firm after serving as a General Magistrate for the Palm Beach Circuit Court, 15th Judicial Circuit, presiding over 1,000 non-jury trials and more than 5,000 case management conferences for the Foreclosure Division. He prepared reports and recommendations to Judges regarding pretrial motions and non-jury trials in foreclosure cases at a time when Florida ranked among the highest in the nation for foreclosure backlogs following the housing market crisis of 2007-2008.

Mr. Maxion's work on the pending backlog of foreclosure cases in order to bring them to issue made him a successful Magistrate, and he is now using his litigation skills to prepare his cases for trial without needless delays by the opposition in order to obtain just compensation for our injured clients.

Mr. Maxion is bi-lingual, allowing our firm to better serve the needs of our larger Hispanic demographic, the fastest-growing ethnic population in Palm Beach County according to the most recent Census reports.

Following his graduation from the University Of Miami School Of Law in 1987, Mr. Maxion spent much of his career working as a staff attorney in the General Counsel offices of some of the nation's largest insurers, including GEICO, Nationwide, Travelers, and Progressive, defending against liability claims.

He had also worked as a litigator in a few major private general liability defense firms, before shifting his practice focus to exclusive personal injury plaintiff representation in 2008, prior to accepting the recent one year appointment as General Magistrate.

Mr. Maxion's diverse career trajectory allows him the competitive benefit of a 360-degree perspective on his cases - as a plaintiff lawyer, defense lawyer, and judicial officer – offering his clients the comfort and confidence they seek before, during, and following the long, arduous litigation process.
